Terms of Service

The deal between you and Codply — be cool, make things.

Last updated 7/12/2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Codply. We’ve kept them readable, but they’re still the real rules for using the service — so please give them a read. By using Codply, you agree to them.

The gist

Be cool, and don’t break things. You own the games and content you make. You let us host and display them, and — for anything you publish — you let other people play and remix it. Don’t post illegal or harmful stuff, don’t abuse the AI, and don’t try to break the game sandbox. That’s the whole spirit; the rest is detail.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 (or the higher age your local law requires) to use Codply. Give us accurate information, keep your login credentials safe, and take responsibility for what happens under your account. One account is for one person. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Your content & the license you give us

You keep ownership of what you create — your prompts, games, captions and comments (“your content”).

To run the service, you grant Codply a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and technical delivery), publish and display your content. This license exists so we can actually show your work to the people you share it with.

Because Codply is built around publishing and remixing, when you publish a game you also allow other users to play it and to remix it into new games — which means creating derivative works based on it. If you remix someone else’s published game, the same applies to your remix.

You can delete or unpublish your content at any time. Some copies may persist for a while in backups or caches, and remixes other people already made from your published game remain theirs.

Acceptable use

Keep Codply a good place. You agree not to:

  • Post or generate content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Try to make a game phone home, exfiltrate data, or otherwise break out of the game sandbox or its no-network guarantee.
  • Abuse the AI — for example spamming generations, trying to produce disallowed content, probing our systems for vulnerabilities, or reverse-engineering the service.
  • Cheat: manipulate leaderboards, inflate plays, likes, follows or earnings, or use bots and automated scraping.
  • Upload malware, or interfere with the security or normal operation of Codply or its users.

We may remove content and take action on accounts that cross these lines.

AI-generated content

Codply uses AI to build your games and their art and audio. AI output can be imperfect, unexpected, or resemble other works, and we can’t guarantee it’s unique or error-free. You’re responsible for reviewing what you publish and for making sure you have the right to use it. Generated content is provided “as is”.

Credits, payments & creator payouts

Generating and editing games consumes credits. We offer free credits and, on paid plans, additional credits and features. Credits are a limited license to use Codply’s generation features — they aren’t money, have no cash value, and (except where the law requires otherwise) aren’t refundable or transferable.

We plan to let creators earn and request real-money payouts for their work. When that launches it will be governed by a separate payout policy covering eligibility, minimum thresholds, verification, taxes and anti-fraud checks; accrual is not live yet. We may change prices, plans and credit amounts, and we’ll give notice of material changes where required.

Moderation & takedowns

To keep the platform safe and lawful, we may review, limit, remove, or take down content and games, and we may act on accounts — including suspension or termination. If you believe content infringes your intellectual property, contact us with the details and we’ll respond. Where we take action against your content or account, we’ll aim to let you know and offer a way to appeal, except where doing so isn’t possible or appropriate.

Disclaimers

Codply and everything on it — including AI-generated games and content — are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t promise the service will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we don’t endorse content created by users.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codply and its team won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using Codply and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or create risk for others. Some parts of these terms — like content licenses for already-published-and-remixed games, disclaimers and limits of liability — survive after your account ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Codply evolves. When changes are material we’ll update the date above and let you know where appropriate. If you keep using Codply after an update, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction Codply operates from, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The specific governing law and the venue for resolving disputes will be confirmed here before launch. Where local consumer-protection law gives you stronger rights, those rights still apply.
